Why visit Zlatibor

Zlatibor is Serbia’s most visited mountain: a wide plateau of pine forests and meadows around 1,000 m, with a lively resort town built around a small lake. It is a year-round destination, with hiking and fresh air in summer and snow in winter. Nearby are some of Serbia’s best day trips: the Šargan Eight heritage railway, Kusturica’s wooden village of Drvengrad and the Sirogojno open-air museum.
