A long day on the high meadows, starting and ending in the middle of Zlatibor town.

Green hills of Zlatibor under a cloudy sky

Quick answer

A 21.7 km loop from Zlatibor town over Čuker (1,359 m) and Crni Vrh, with 790 m of climbing. Allow about seven hours. It is demanding because of its length rather than its terrain, and it starts within walking distance of the hotels.

Getting to the start

The start is in Zlatibor town, so no transport is needed if you stay there. Buses run to Zlatibor from Belgrade, and the drive takes a few hours. See also our Zlatibor guide.

Before you go

  • The route is graded demanding, so start early.
  • Check the weather first, because much of the route is open meadow.
  • For something shorter, go to Čuker and back, about 10 km.

Read our mountain safety basics too. For any emergency in Serbia, call 112.

Where to stay

The route starts in town, so any central hotel works.
