Why visit Vršac & Deliblato
In south-east Banat, the flat plain suddenly rises into the Vršac hills. The town of Vršac is one of Serbia’s main wine regions, with family cellars and a 15th-century tower watching over the vineyards. To the west lies Deliblato Sands, a special nature reserve of sandy hills and steppe sometimes called the European Sahara, and to the south the clear lakes of Bela Crkva.
