Splavovi (river clubs)

Floating clubs on the Sava and Danube are the heart of Belgrade summers. Some play pop and folk, others house and techno. For popular ones, reserve a table and expect a minimum spend.

Bars and clubs

Savamala, Cetinjska street and lower Dorćol have the highest density of bars. Many places stay open until the early morning.

Kafana nights

Traditional kafanas with live bands play old Serbian songs; it is customary to tip the musicians if they play at your table.

Staying safe at night

Use CarGo or Yandex Go to get home, keep an eye on your drinks and avoid unmarked taxis.

Tip: Book a table ahead for weekend nights in summer, usually by phone or through the venue’s social media. Dress a bit smarter than you would for a bar, and ask about minimum spend.
